About This Website
Hello! My name is Anthony Langan.
F&B On-The-Fly is a collection of photographs, primarily consisting of F&B-related content, that I have taken while on my personal and professional travels.
Throughout my career in the hotel food and beverage industry I have been continually blessed with opportunities to create and lead some exceptional establishments. Several of those wonderful places are featured here.
I have a genuine passion for my work. Over time, I began to develop a desire to capture a bit of that passion in pictures; both for my own enjoyment and with the hope that they might inspire any likeminded individuals who happen to come across them.
Thank you for taking the time to explore the photographs on this site. I hope you enjoyed them!
Yours in hospitality,
An industry leader with a track record of success in the hotel food and beverage arena, Anthony has developed and led some truly exceptional F&B operations in his 15-year hospitality career. Many of those operations have excelled as standouts in cities with some of the most vibrant and robust culinary and cocktail scenes in the country, including Chicago, Nashville, and Denver. Anthony’s genuine passion for delivering memorable hospitality experiences is combined with a diverse skillset that includes strengths in concept creation, brand development, restaurant/bar operations, and banquet operations, making him a uniquely dynamic F&B professional.
Anthony began his career in the hospitality industry in his hometown of Chicago, where he led the bar, restaurant, and room service outlets at the Chicago Mart Plaza for Hostmark Hospitality Group. During his tenure, the hotel’s Cityscape Bar was named the “Best Place to Meet After Work” by the Chicago Sun-Times. Following his success in that role, he assumed oversight of the hotel’s 25,000 square feet of meeting and event space. During this time Anthony also served as Co-Chairman of the Illinois Hotel & Lodging Association’s Under 30 Council and was a trainer for the opening team at Carnivale restaurant, which was named one of the “100 Hottest Restaurants” in the country by OpenTable.
He continued to grow his knowledge of hotel operations and food & beverage when he joined Vision Hospitality Group in 2013, serving as a General Manager, a property Director of Food and Beverage, and the Corporate Director of Beverage and Food for the company during his tenure. In his three years leading the company’s F&B operations, Vision’s F&B departmental revenue more than doubled. Alongside delivering strong financial growth, Anthony was instrumental in creating and overseeing a portfolio of operations that would receive a number of prominent accolades, including: The Edwin Hotel, an F&B-driven boutique, being named a “Top 10 Hotel” in the country by Travel+Leisure, Whiskey Thief bar earning a spot on Garden & Gun’s list of the “South’s Best New Bars”, the New York Times recommending a visit to UP, a rooftop lounge in their article on how to spend “36 Hours in Nashville”, and the F&B-centric Moxy Denver Cherry Creek being honored as one of the “15 Best Hotels in Denver” by Condé Nast.
Anthony has received several personal awards over his career, including “Lodging Manager of the Year” from the Greater Nashville Hospitality Association, “Department Manager of the Year” from Vision Hospitality Group, and being named to Hotel Management Magazine's “Thirty Under 30” list. He has been tapped to provide industry insights for leading publications such as Hotel Management and Hotel News Now.
Personally and professionally, Anthony is an advocate for the creation of employment opportunities for individuals across the full physical, mental, and developmental spectrum and has collaborated with several organizations that work to further that cause: Next Steps at Vanderbilt University, Autism Tennessee, the Tennessee Council on Developmental Disabilities, and the Chattanooga Autism Center.
